My iPad is reading everything to me, how do I fix this?

This happens when Voice Over has been enables in the Accessibility settings. Follow the steps below to set your iPad back to normal. Please note that every step will be completed with a series of taps (a single tap followed by a double tap). The single tap chooses the item, while the double tap actually performs the operation.

1. Tap pm "slide to unlock" with a single tap followed by a double tap.

3. Enter your passcode to unlock the iPad by selecting each number (or letter) first with a single tap followed by a double tap.

4. Tap on "Settings" using the single tap double tap method.

6. VoiceOver will be set to "On". Open the VoiceOver menu using the single tap double tap method.

7. Turn VoiceOver from on to off using the single tap double tap method.

8. Now that VoiceOver is set to off you will be able to use your iPad as normal.
